Being the father of three very young children I have noticed one fundamental flaw with nearly all children’s cutlery. That being it doesn’t work and so is very difficult to use. All of my children have got extremely frustrated with using child’s cutlery because they cant stab things with a completely blunt fork and they can’t scoop up loose food with a spoon thats too thick. Ive tried it myself its virtually impossible. I used to think it was an inability of the children, having not learnt to use cutlery but the obstacle is actually bad cutlery. As soon as I give them a fork that you can actually stab food with and it sticks on and a spoon that is thin enough to slip under food and a knife that can divide food they could suddenly eat very well.
I know there are of course concerns about the danger of sharp things but I think you would have to try quite hard to hurt yourself on most adult cutlery and im certainly not suggesting things should be sharp to the touch but they should work.
I suppose my question would be; does baby cutlery help of hinder a child’s ability to learn to feed themselves?
This fork, knife, and spoon has great shape and colour that kids gona love it.
Main think it is made in bamboo, non-toxic water-based adhesive, natural lacquer, food-safe polyurethane what is good for health.
