ooomydesign‘s ‘Cassette Tape Lamps’ are the latest designs to explore the popular 80′s music format. Designer Vanessa Moreno uses plastic zip ties and second-hand tapes to make them.

‘Tribute to cassette tape, which kept us company all trough the 80ies and became a symbol of a generation. Taking advantage of its structural properties, a lamp/box has been created only by means of tying the tapes firmly together. The lamp dims the light in a soft delicate way and you can play with it changing the tapes even with yours and listening all of them too.’
