‘I’Park City’ by UNStudio

0 Comments 17 November 2009

I’Park City‘ located in Suwon, Korea covers approximately 33.5 ha and includes 88 apartment buildings.

Both color and form are applied throughout the ‘I’Park City’ site in a manner which demarcates a sense of place. The color strategy visually links clusters of buildings and landscape parcels into a series of neighborhoods, thus subdividing the site into 6 distinctive zones.

Organized longitudinally from north to south, the building façades are divided into 5 different design typologies: City, Village, Field, Water, and Park are the names given to describe the different designs.

The blend of program facilities and unique residential buildings, set within a coherent landscape strategy, provides a plethora of different lifestyles.’
