German designer Anika Engelbrecht created ‘Klangtisch’ a jam session dining table that adds some noise to the meal. The table appears to be a rather typical wooden dinner table, but closer inspection reveals some interesting design features. the center of the table top is inset with four wooden blocks, which each resonate when struck. To help play the table, four mallets are located at the head of the table. These instruments give each diner a hand in playing the table and double as a trivet when not in use.
