Next month LEGO will release a range of products including a digital camera and a MP3 player developed together with Atlanta-based Digital Blue who specialize in children’s tech-products.
“Our entrance into the youth electronics space will enable our fans to express themselves through photos, videos and music, while displaying their enthusiasm for one of the world’s all-time favourite toys.” said Jill Wilfert, LEGO Group’s Vice President of Licensing.
The LEGO digital camera e.g. looks like it is built completely from LEGO bricks. LEGO bricks can be added to the top or bottom of the camera, so kids can integrate it into their buildings and creations.
The camera is a full functioning 3 Megapixel digital camera, featuring a color 1.5” LCD screen. It comes with a built-in flash, fixed focus and digital zoom. The camera holds up to 80 photos at a time.

Thanks for covering our products! We really love the LEGO line and we’re hoping everyone else does, too. Digital Blue’s entire line of LEGO electronics are available at Toys R Us: http://bit.ly/WyXJ2.
Someone has been having way too much fun with Legos. These sure look like they are fun and functional. It sure would be fun to work in research and development at Lego. The one Lego project that really caught my attention years ago was a computer case made with Legos. It was fully function and designed to maintain proper air flow, too.
