Rejecting the conventions where geographicalLy and visually the North still dominates the South, this globe by industrial designer Giulio Iacchetti gives due importance to the most hidden areas of the earth.

Designed by Giulio Iacchetti and produced by Palomar, the name of the ‘Odnom’ globe is derived from the reflected letters of the word ‘mondo’ which means ‘world’ in Italian.
The base of the globe stands on a tilted mirror which reflects the southern hemisphere of the world. Geographical terms of the southern hemisphere are written backwards so it is legible though the reflection of the mirror.

Rejecting the geographic conventions, where visually north dominates the south, ‘Odnom’ tries to restore fairness and right visual emphasis to the most hidden areas of the earth.
