French firm Hugh Dutton Associates (HDA) have won the ‘Pylons of the Future’ international competition for Italian energy supplier Terna Spa.
A team led by planning, design and engineering firm AECOM has won an international competition for a concept design and feasibility study for Seoul Grand Park in Korea. The winning entry, Gaia: The Living World, envisions an integrated entertainment and educational experience that revitalizes the urban realm and showcases Korean heritage.
Korean architects Kyungam Architects Associates designed ‘Daewon Park Observatory’: their competition entry for an observation tower for the city of Seongnam in South Korea.
With the thought of a floating sky they created ‘Cloud 360′. The ground level was left as open space and two main elevators transport visitors to the raised building. The restaurant, cafe and mediatech are all located in upper levels of the cloud observatory.
Hugon Kowalski of polish firm H3AR architecture and design recently created ‘Instant House’ for an international student competition in Milan.
Grant Associates and Gustafson Porter have won an international competition, organised by Singapore’s National Parks Board, to design Gardens by the Bay, part of the next phase of the city’s masterplan. The gardens will occupy 101 hectares of prime land by the water and will become part of Marina Bay.
